INSPIRATIONAL BIBLE VERSES
1 Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because
all the people were bitter in soul ...
"For I know the plans I have for you,"
says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you
a future and a hope."
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I
seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to
gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in
him.
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in
God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my
portion forever.
The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
Romans 8:18
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing
with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither
death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our
worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s
love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all
creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see
everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete,
but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me
completely.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet
inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles
are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them
all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is
seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet
indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge
of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered
the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and
be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but
that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by
faith.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of
God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots
will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us,
to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the
church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters
into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner
on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Placebecause of the blood of Jesus. By
his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the
Most Holy Place. And since we have a great
High Priestwho rules over God’s house, let us go right into the
presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty
consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our
bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly
without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his
promise.
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing
that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its
perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
